The creation
A hand-poured coconut wax candle in a matte black jar.
Light it and the room changes. Our 8 oz candle is hand-poured with coconut wax into a matte black jar, for a soft, ambient light and a clean line on any shelf, console or bathtub rim.
The fragrance comes from our own perfumery, and each scent is built around notes you can follow. Moroccan Fig and Bergamot opens fresh with apple and grapefruit. Rosewood and Litsea Cubeba is super citrus, with bergamot and lemon. Hawaiian Black Lava is musky and woodsy, with saffron and cedarwood. Violet and Bergamot is a luxurious floral with mint and green tea. Oud Tobacco and Leather is smoky and deep.
Trim the wick to 1/4 inch, burn it for 2 to 3 hours at a time, and let the wax pool melt evenly across the top. Never leave a candle unattended.
It makes a considered gift and pairs with the matching room spray, roller oil and reed diffuser.

The story behind
Made by hand, in small batches, by a mother and son in Brooklyn
Marianella spent her childhood in her grandmother's kitchen in Venezuela, making soap and beauty products by hand, and every fragrance we make comes from her travels and memories of Venezuela. Our candles are hand-poured in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, in batches of 50 to 100, with coconut wax and an eco wick.
Her son David designed the sleek black vessel, so the candle looks as good unlit on a shelf as it does glowing on a table at dusk. No harsh chemicals, no animal testing, and as little waste as we can manage.
