THE MARIANELLA WELLNESS COLLECTIVE
The mother and son clean beauty brand founders of Jaboneria Marianella =, Marianella Febres-Cordero and David Foote, and retail and hospitality veteran, Jillian Fracassi, are pleased to launch the Marianella Wellness Collective of women-led wellness services at the Marianella Soap Bar and Spa flagship in SoHo, New York (102 Thompson Street).
“Marianella Wellness Collective was born out of its dedicated clientele,” said Febres-Cordero and Fracassi. “We began to notice more and more our female clientele who come into the store to purchase the hand-made and clean soaps and fragrances. And when we opened the spa, our masseuses and estheticians were women and continued to cater to women. More importantly, as a female lead business, we know how difficult it is to open a business and sustain it. Opening up our spa rooms to these diverse, women creates an extraordinary collaboration between their sets of skills and our existing product range. It also inspires us to create and incorporate new products for the Wellness Collective to easily incorporate into their existing routines.”
The Wellness Collective is launching with three service and wellness entrepreneurs: a neighborhood mother who specializes in Natural Sculpture Face Lifting (an injectables alternative); an eyebrow and lash specialist; a Medical Aesthetic Specialist/RN for more invasive treatments such as chemical peels. Each of the services technicians offers a different menu of treatments and work closely together in a safe and healthy environment.
Support is given to The Wellness Collective in a variety of ways including social media support, paid search advertising and other access single business owners may not yet have the budget or means to work. Each of the Wellness businesses handles its client payments directly and clients are booked through a central customer service agent. The harbored environment allows for the mother business, Marianella Soap, and the Wellness Collective and the Bar and Spa in-house masseur the opportunity for scaled growth.
Ms. Fracassi accepts the applications and then selects potential candidates after an in person meeting. Each client is vetted so that there isn’t a services overlap. “It’s always been my dream to give women this opportunity and realize their entrepreneurial spirit,” said Fracassi. “As a mom of a girl, and another girl on the way, nothing makes me happier than my daughter seeing me doing something I love that doesn’t feel like work.”
Marianella looks to expand to multiple Marianella Wellness Collectives in New York and expand in markets across the US. “I want a business where women can become their own boss,” said Fabres-Cordero. “I did myself, with my son David, when I moved to the US from Venezula in 2007 to start Jaboneria Marianella.”
